The Moor's Head h 25 cm with Grapes — Blue and Orange features one of the oldest and most symbolic fruits of Mediterranean culture on its headdress: the grape clusters are hand-modeled in ceramic and applied in relief, painted in the deep blue and warm orange of Caltagirone's ceramic tradition. A piece that combines the decorative richness of plastic applications with the strong symbolic value of the fruit of the vine.

100% Handcrafted Ceramics

For almost 20 years, Sofia La Maiolica di Caltagirone has been dedicated to the artisanal production of unique majolica pieces, decorated and shaped by hand. They are inspired by the classic style of Caltagirone ceramics from all eras, made with unique glazes that recall the origins of the Eastern world where colors were produced by fusing kaolin-based glazes. The manufacturing process that leads to the creation of our ceramics is divided into six important phases:

Turning, Drying, First Firing, Glazing, Decoration, and Aging.

For each of these phases, we dedicate the utmost care to every detail so that the final product is the result of a unique, inimitable, and unaltered work over time. The main characteristic of purchasing a non-industrial product is precisely this: owning a unique product.
