Choosing a custom product means accepting slightly longer production times, but with the certainty of receiving an exclusive and unrepeatable item.
The Testa di Moro h 33 cm Without Crown — Blue and Orange is an essential and sculptural version of the medium format: without the traditional decorative crown, the sculpture reduces the form to its most authentic essence — the face, the neck, the bust — letting the blue and orange contrast of the Caltagirone tradition become the sole protagonist.

100% Handcrafted Ceramics
For almost 20 years, Sofia La Maiolica di Caltagirone has been dedicated to the artisanal production of unique majolica pieces, decorated and shaped by hand. They are inspired by the classic style of Caltagirone ceramics from all eras, made with unique glazes that recall the origins of the Eastern world where colors were produced by fusing kaolin-based glazes. The manufacturing process that leads to the creation of our ceramics is divided into six important phases:
Turning, Drying, First Firing, Glazing, Decoration, and Aging.
For each of these phases, we dedicate the utmost care to every detail so that the final product is the result of a unique, inimitable, and unaltered work over time. The main characteristic of purchasing a non-industrial product is precisely this: owning a unique product.
